Highly effective sequestering agent in enzymatic desizing, peroxide bleaching and alkaline scouring processes on cotton and blends.

SOFTQUEST ESW has a high sequestering power against alkaline earth salts and heavy metal ions in an alkaline environment and for this reason it is a universal complexing agent for various process phases: desizing, washing, alkaline pre-treatment and peroxide bleaching.

For this reason, the main field of application is the pre-treatment of natural fibers, such as cotton, linen, ramie and other bast fibers, which during the pre-treatment and washing phases release high amounts of alkaline earth salts and heavy metals.

The product eliminates the salts that cause water hardness and heavy metal ions from textile substrates while at the same time preventing the formation of precipitation of alkaline earth salts (organic as well as inorganic) in the treatment baths.

SOFTQUEST ESW has an excellent sequestering power against heavy metals; as a sequestering agent to be used in dyeing baths, the use of SOFTDISP AD SOFT is preferable.

SOFTQUEST ESW has a marked threshold effect and prevents the deposition of metal salts in the heat exchangers.

The product is not surfactant and therefore does not develop foam.
