Safety and Environment Policy

SOFT CHEMICALS recognises that its activities may have an impact on the environment and the protection of the health and safety of its employees and those working under the organisation’s control. It therefore believes that the identification, management and control of environmental and health and safety aspects related to its services and processes is an integral part of good and responsible business management.

SOFT CHEMICALS is committed to conducting all its activities in such a way as to ensure the utmost respect for worker and environmental protection regulations.

The Policy for the management of environmental and safety variables, is expressed through the environmental management system (in accordance with ISO 14001:2015) and the health and safety management system (in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018), implemented so that its activities and services are conducted in compliance with current regulations and to achieve continuous improvement in its performance to protect the surrounding environment and the health and safety of its employees.

The Company is committed to:

set goals and objectives for improvement in the prevention and protection of health and safety risks to which its employees are exposed and to control significant environmental impacts in order to reduce pollution related to its activities.

Develop environmental and health and safety management improvement programmes and monitor their implementation.

Comply with the environmental and safety principles established by current legislation and various regional regulations.

Ensure that environmental and health and safety principles are considered in the decision-making processes of all company functions and suppliers.

Empower all personnel to practise behaviour consistent with the principles of environmental protection and their own and their colleagues’ health and safety.

Optimise the consumption of resources (electricity, water and consumables).

Periodically assess the environmental, health and safety impact of each activity and service.

Carry out environmental and health and safety impact audits during the design of services.

Carry out staff training and information activities.

Reduce and monitor the number of accidents, near misses and lost days due to injuries.

The Company holds all managers, supervisors and employees responsible for compliance with the above policies within the scope of their respective powers and responsibilities.

No worker is authorised to undertake or continue activities, operations or processes that could endanger their own safety and that of their colleagues.

The strategic objectives, defined during the Management Review are, in any case, aimed at:

Reduce and monitor the number of accidents, near misses and lost days due to injuries.

The policies are communicated to all personnel working under the organisation’s control through posting on company notice boards and servers and communicated to all contractors.

With this in mind, a project was initiated to maintain certification according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
